Tales from a Far off Land
This
series of photographs captures splendidly fairies
who live in 'Far off lands'
These lands are so different to our own and each
day can have up to 90 hours.
Children who have stumbled upon these lands think
they have been there for weeks, when in fact they
have only been there a day or so.
Far off lands can be entered through ... Secret
gardens, Wishing wells, garden gates and there
is also some strong reference to 'The dark side
of the moon,' in particular, 'The lake of tranquillity'
which is a favourite fairy hang out.
Summer showers
Over the meadow and across the bridge,
Just beyond the furthest ridge ...
There is a place where if you stand
You can see right over to Fairyland.
You can tell they are near by the scent of flowers
And the soft splash of warm summer showers.
A trail of gossamer lies over the grasses,
You can see it quite clearly when the soft wind
passes.
Far away on the western hill,
The fairies there are playing still.
They flutter about in the warm night air
To shake the raindrops from their hair.
